Seedance is the brand with the most variants among the video models here — from light and fast to the latest version. That means "Seedance" isn't one price but a range, and that the cheap Seedance variant is a real choice, not a discount.
Length is its main advantage. A shot with development — the camera enters, the person turns, the product is shown — fits in one run, instead of being assembled from pieces.
Seedance also offers a low resolution for tests. The combination of "light variant plus low resolution" makes the long shot checkable before you pay for it at the high one.
Hailuo is a single model, and that's its whole character: no choices, no tiers, no settings you have to understand. For someone who just wants to see whether AI video solves their problem at all, it's the fastest answer.
Hailuo makes a clip comparable in length to much pricier models. If you need ten seconds or so rather than thirty, Seedance's long shot is an advantage you'd simply pay for without using.
Hailuo's price per second is low, and that is what decides everything with video: every second is paid for, and every attempt is a whole clip.
Where Hailuo falls short. Resolution. It is the lowest here, and on a big screen the shot shows it. Hailuo also doesn't accept a negative description for photo-to-video, meaning typical defects are discovered after the run, rather than ruled out before it.
Where Seedance falls short. Price. Its newest variant is among the most expensive models on the platform per second, and the very long shot it wins with is also the priciest way to get it wrong. Thirty seconds of a wrong description cost six times as much as five seconds of a wrong description.
If the answer to "how long should the shot be" is "ten seconds is enough", Hailuo does the job and the rest is saved credits. If the answer is "something has to happen", Seedance is the only one that does it in one run.
